Welcome to Collaborator v12.2!
Collaborator 12.2 is the latest release from SmartBear Software’s dev collaboration team. This new version introduces the ability to synchronize GitLab groups, improved user account mapping and support for Visual Studio 2019.
GitLab Group Sync
Collaborator now offers enhanced security for reviews created by GitLab Merge Requests. When GitLab group sync is enabled, GitLab groups are created in Collaborator and automatically associated to the review. This ensures that only repository group members have access to the Collaborator review and the files associated with the review.
Additional Notes:
- Collaborator’s Bitbucket integration will no longer support Mercurial starting on June 1, 2020
- Discontinued support for Collaborator’s legacy JIRA integration. Existing configurations will remain functional.

Welcome to Collaborator v12.3!
Collaborator 12.3 is the latest release from SmartBear Software’s dev collaboration team. This new version introduces an integration with Microsoft’s Azure DevOps and support for Rich Text and Markdown comments.Azure DevOps
Collaborator continues to build on its support for repository hosting services (GitLab, Bitbucket, GitHub), whether in the cloud or self-hosted. Now users of Azure Repos can integrate Collaborator peer reviews with their pull request workflow in Azure DevOps. This new capability makes it easy to extend the peer review process and ensure that the correct people are reviewing pull requests as well as capturing data and metrics for audits and regulatory compliance.
Rich Text / Markdown
With Collaborator 12.3, review participants can now add comments via a rich text and markdown editor. This allows users to format text in a way that explicitly shows the author of the review what changes need to me made and the formatting for such changes.
Additional Notes:
- With the release of Collaborator 12.3, we will no longer be able to support customers running Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or MySQL 4.1, 5.0, 5.1, 5.4, 5.5. Please upgrade your database to a newer supported version when upgrading Collaborator.
