After migrating to cloud test executions are not under test cycle
Hello, Recently we are migrating from server to cloud with Zephyr squad, however we came across a strange situation. Below is the test case screenshot where we are able to see the test execution in Jan 2023 Malaysia Test cycle, however we are unable to see the same test executions in cycle summary under test cycle, however if we change the status of the test execution in test case it was automatically reflecting under test cycle. We need to see the test executions under test cycles as it was showing in on on-prem before migration. I have provided all the screenshots. please let us know your inputs537Views0likes2CommentsTest Steps Comment in the Test Execution
Hello, I am looking for details on getting comments from the Test Execition's Test Steps via API for Zephyr Squad. Is this even possible? Help would be greatly appreciated as this is for our tool to migrate from Squad to Scale. We are in the process of migrating from JIRA server to JIRA cloud ; our license for JIRA server and Zephyr for JIRA server have both expired, but we don't want to renew as we are about to migrate to the cloud - we would like to migrate our Zephyr data over using JCMA - but the Zephyr portion of the migration doesn't get kicked off and we are told we'd need to request a free trial in order to allow the Zephyr migration to work. Thanks in advance for your help!164Views0likes0CommentsMigrating from Zephyr Squad
We are migrating from Zephyr Squad to a different test tool. We have data in Zephyr Squad that we of course, need to keep. When I did a test deactivation and uninstall of Zephyr on a test board, all the data was deleted. I created a test and a test plan, test cycle, executed the test, logged a bug. Then I uninstalled the application. The test steps I entered are no longer in the issue, but the bug I created is still there. The history of the bug does not have that it was created in a Zephyr test. And there is no link either in the bug or the test to each other. The Test plan and cycle are gone. There is no information in the history of either the bug or test that indicates it was ever executed or a bug was created as part of a test. We prefer to keep the existing Zephyr Cloud issue types, content, and linkage. Is there some way to do that and ensure that no new Zephyr Cloud issues can be created? Is there a cost to this? Hi all, I wonder if zephyr squad suits my goals. Could someone help to understand, please? precondition: - one jira instance with a lot of projects; - about 120 jira-users (active, inactive); goals: - some of these projects (about 5-10) should have test cases (Test issue type from zephyr); - about 15-30 users should have access to Test issues; - would be good to import cases from testlink (.xml); - would be good to integrate with Jenkins; - no need to have cross-projects shared cases (each project is unique); - no need to have cross-projects test reports;553Views0likes3CommentsMigrating Zephyr Squad to Zephyr Scale
I'm migrating a single Zephyr Squad project to Zephyr Scale using the documentation provided by SmartBear. When I select "Export-->XML" the output is diaplayed on the screen instead of being placed in a file. How do I get the output into a file, so I can continue with the converting process?256Views0likes0CommentsMigration from Server to Cloud
We've been using a local instance of JIRA for over 15 years, and the Zephyr Add-On for at least 8 of those years. We are planning a migration to the Cloud, however we want to take this opportunity of starting a new JIRA environment. Therefore, we plan on selectively migrating a few projects to our new Cloud instance, leaving the obsolete projects behind. From watching the video of the SmartBear migration tool, it appears that it requires that we backup the entire local instance and overwrite our new and pristine Cloud environment with the clutter accumulated over the last 15 years. Is there a way to migrate our two Zephyr projects and Scripts without having to go the garbage out garbage in route? Thank you! So I am a QA manager and I am working with a team that has done great getting things started using an Excel sheet. We need to take it to the next level and have a test case management system. I set up the Zephyr Squad plugin to evaluate from 30 days. I am pretty sure we will stick with it. I can see eventually moving to Zephyr Scale but I think we can manage for now. What I worry about missing in Squad for now is using Test Plans and more involved reporting. Would love to hear from those using Squad to know how it has worked for them. Also would love to hear from someone who has upgraded from Squad to Scale to hear how challenging it was. I hate the thought of lots of retyping. I would think from a marketing standpoint it would make lots of sense to create a really seamless migration path.240Views0likes0CommentsZephyr test steps missing after cloud migration and General Information "undefined"
Hello, After migration to JIRA Cloud from JIRA on premises, I noticed the following issues: - several views/workspaces/filters show an error that the "Test" Issue Type needs to be added to the Issue Type Scheme (I checked and it IS added) - the Test Details item (the UI that allows viewing and creating/editing test steps) is missing from the Test record screen. I attached images of both issues I described above. In looking around and reading support articles about this issue, I noticed that this may be because the Test ID item under Apps -> Zephyr Squad -> General Information appears "undefined". I also saw a recommendation to reinstall Zephyr Squad and the Uninstall button is disabled so I am unable to do this step. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue? I appreciate your help!
