Re: Object invoked disconnect from client at website deployment
I fix my problem, I was getting a problem cause the time i was getting the document object and the time i was doing a query selector. The page was refreshing (due to the first load) and then my object got disconnected when trying to do the querySelector. Basicly i did : try { fromElement = getCurrentPage().contentDocument; elemFound = fromElement.querySelector(cssSelector); } catch (ex) { fromElement = null; elemFound = null; } So if the problem occur i just continue my loop and return null if I don't get what i want ater the timeout (for my case, it's doing what i want).2.4KViews1like1CommentObject invoked disconnect from client at website deployment
Hi, I need to run smoke test at the deployment of our website. The test works, except at the deployment. I always get an error native. Error: The object invoked has disconnected from its clients. at Error (native) This error occurs at every deployment. I rerun the same test right after the failure and it pass. Might it be something from our website that cause this or abug in TestComplete? I am using TC12.10.602.7 - Our website is in asp.NET --EDIT-- Here the code I use function getAllPages() { var arrPages = Sys.Browser('chrome').FindAllChildren("ObjectType", "Page", 1).toArray(); return arrPages; } function getCurrentPage() { var objCurrentPage = null; var arrPages = getAllPages(); var stopTime = GetTickCount() + 30000; while (objCurrentPage === null && arrPages.length > 0) { if (GetTickCount() >= stopTime) { Log.Warning("Timeout Reached, unable to get the current page"); break; } for (indPage in arrPages) { var objPage = arrPages[indPage]; if ( objPage.Enabled && objPage.Visible ) { objCurrentPage = objPage; break; } } } return objCurrentPage; } function tryGetElementByCSS(cssSelector) { var elemFound = null; var fromElement = null; var wait_timeout = 10000; var max_wait_timeout = GetTickCount() + wait_timeout; do { if ( (wait_timeout > 0) && (GetTickCount() > max_wait_timeout) ) { var strExtraInfo = "CSS Selector:" + cssSelector; Log.Warning(" TIMEOUT:'" + wait_timeout + "' milliseconds reached when trying to get element", strExtraInfo); break; } fromElement = getCurrentPage().contentDocument; elemFound = fromElement.querySelector(cssSelector); } while (elemFound == null) return elemFound; } function test() { Sys.Browser('chrome').ToUrl('...'); var tableObj = tryGetElementByCSS('div.page section.list'); return (tableObj != null); } With my code, the page should wait at least 30sec before returning false, but i got the error after 6-12 sec of execution.Solved2.5KViews0likes8CommentsRe: TestComplete 11.31 - Code editor hang
There is people working on the same project, but not on same the same branch, and this should only happen when people push something and we have like 2-3 commit per day only. Plus last week, the people who were working on the same project were in vacantion, so i was alone on the project and i was having problem. EDIT Is there a way tounbind the project suite to the source control? I have check this articlefrom the support, but the unbind button is disable. Since I use SourceTree to do my push/pull and commit, the source control in TC is useless.2.1KViews0likes1CommentRe: TestComplete 11.31 - Code editor hang
joseph_michaudYes and I just tryed to create a new project suite an import my main project and i didn't got the problem. So I think, this is the problem. My source control setting are : Current source control plugin = Git Plugin Path to Git = C:\Program Files\Git\bin\git.exe Use TortoiseGit client = False Bind new items to SCC automatically = True It's the same as my coworker and I am alone to have the problem. Is there any setting I am missing hidden somewhere? mgroen2 I am on Windows 8.1 x64 and I am testing a web application (in IE 11). But i don't need to run the test to have the problem. Even if I restart the computer then open TC and start editing the script TC is not responding. Sometimes, TC is freaking out when not responding and the window is flashing, like I was spamming Win-D to minimize and maximize, but only for TC. When that happen, the process dwm.exe take ~15% of cpu too. I have put an image in attachment for the task manager.2.1KViews0likes3CommentsRe: TestComplete 11.31 - Code editor hang
My memory usage is near 250 Mo only, so not really close of the limit of x32 application. Yesterday, i tried to uninstall and install again. Then i did the change in the option before opening a project and now the problem only occurs when I am saving. Save command can freeze my code editor up to 5sec sometime. For now, with the problem only occuring at save, I can work without randomdisturbance. So I am not in in a rush to find a solution at the problem, but if any other idea Iwill try.2.2KViews0likes6CommentsTestComplete 11.31 - Code editor hang
Hi, I just start using TestComplete for my new job and I have an issue with the code editor. When I am in the "Workspace" panel and in a script editing window, sometimes my cursor randomly change from TextCursor to WaitCursor rapidly for 15-60sec. During that, I can't do anything in the file, even scroll. I had track my memoryusage and processor usage, the memorydoesn't move, and TestComplete go up to ~15% of processor usage. What is strange about this, is that I can navigate in the "Project Explorer" tab without problem and even the menu bar. I have read somes posts talking about the code editor being slow, and try some solution. 1. Project size : I tryed with new project and still got the problem 2. Auto completion : I deactivate the "Auto Pop-up" in the optionfor the auto-complete and still got the problem. I have the same setup of my coworkers, but someone said that some people of other teams were having the same issue when they came at our office (so I am not alone with this problem). My spec : OS :Windows 8.1 Enterprise x64 (6.3 build 9600) CPU : i7-4790@ 3.60 GHz RAM : 16 Go TestComplete : Version 11.31.2420.7 Thanks2.2KViews0likes8Comments
