Different full name for same object with same Test complete version
Hi , I am facing a problem that for a desktop application when i get the full name of the object it is like. Sys.Process("Analec.ClientManager.Shell").WinFormsObject("DropDownForm", "", 30).WinFormsObject("ValueListDropDownUnsafe", "") and on another two machine with same test complete version and application version i am getting Full name as Sys.Process("Analec.ClientManager.Shell").WinFormsObject("DropDownForm", "").WinFormsObject("ValueListDropDownUnsafe", "") and the index for the object WinFormsObject("DropDownForm", "", 30)changes on frequent basis working with which is very hard. Please suggest what thing make such kind of changes in full name even if application version and Tescomplete version is same on all machine. Hi i m getting a problem in which i am using full name to perform action on the object. When i spy the object and check it's highlighting the object on the page. by when i use it's full name and add .setText ("abc"). it gives message object doesn't exists. Full name : Sys.Process("RightNow.InitEngine").WinFormsObject("CrmConsole", "*").WinFormsObject("Panel", "", 1).WinFormsObject("SplitContainer", "", 1).WinFormsObject("SplitterPanel", "", 2).WinFormsObject("ConsoleContentPaneSplitContainer").WinFormsObject("SplitterPanel", "").WinFormsObject("ConsoleContentPane").WinFormsObject("consoleWatermarkPanel").WinFormsObject("LayoutObjectEditor").WinFormsObject("Table").WinFormsObject("Table").WinFormsObject("Panel").WinFormsObject("Table").WinFormsObject("Table").WinFormsObject("Incident.Subject").WinFormsObject("Incident.Subject.Content").setText("Param") It is showing following two webform objects are not exists. WinFormsObject("Incident.Subject").WinFormsObject("Incident.Subject.Content") But it is highlighting the object. Why it is happening so. what alternate can i use to perform action on object. i can't use find method as objects does't have any specific property which i can use with find method. it is only having Name property.15KViews0likes1CommentRe: unable to pass an input parameter to a Web Service (object : array of strings)

Hi, I am getting a problem in which objects full name changed everytime i fresh login to application, Following are the two different pattern of same object in which index of the object's full name changes in between. Sys.Process("RightNow.InitEngine").Window("WindowsForms10.Window.8.app.0.10d6126", "*- RightNow CX", 1).Window("WindowsForms10.Window.8.app.0.10d6126", "", 2) Sys.Process("RightNow.InitEngine").Window("WindowsForms10.Window.8.app.0.1bd1126", "* - RightNow CX", 2).Window("WindowsForms10.Window.8.app.0.1bd1126", "", 1) When i use * or "\a" etc. to make this index regular expression. Testcomplete shows an error. Please suggest how to handle this situation where index used in fullName changes everytime.16KViews0likes1CommentTest Complete File Extension issue and Difference in Object recognitions

Hi , I am facing a issue scenario is as follows. I have prepared an OR excel sheet in which i keeps my objects property name/values and i fetch object property values from OR sheet prepare a array to find the object on the page. Which is working fine on IE, but when i used to run the same script on moilla/firefox 3.6 object property values changed in mozilla. e.g if innertext value of object in IE is "Search For Flight" in Mozilla it is showing the same objects's property value as "Search For Flight" means in mozilla flight is coming in the next line. So my question is why there is issue in object property value. how to overcome from this situation. I don't want to prepare different OR excel sheet for different browsers. Please find the attached snapshot. Thanks and Regards Param18KViews0likes1CommentRe: Test complete not recognize Data grids and other controls of application.

Hi Robert Martin, My problem is that, i would have to verify some data in the data grids but Test complete is not recognizing the data grids. i searched all properties value but didn't find any value that is present in data grids. So i want to know that is there any plugins that can provide access to these data grids. Or any alternate approach you suggest to handle such type of data grids Thanks and Regards Paramveer1.4KViews0likes0CommentsTest complete not recognize Data grids and other controls of application.
