Re: TC:10.20 : DotNet properties are not getting displayed in object browser
Hello Tanya, I had already raised a support ticket for this issue (#M0120932) and interacted with support team. But now i am not able to reply to that mail(QA-Support@SmartBear.com), since i am getting an automatic reply asking to create a new support request for it. I tried creating new support request using the link http://support.smartbear.com/product-list/. But i did not get any acknowledgement mail for the same. Hence i have raised query in this forum.632Views0likes0CommentsTC:10.20 : DotNet properties are not getting displayed in object browser
TC version: 10.20 .Net framework installed on pc: 4.5.1 Related to issue : #M0120932: Dot net properties are not displayed in object browser for the test application I am using. This issue was observed with TC version 7.5 and 9.2 also and it was recommended to use 10.2 version to solve this issue. With version 10.20 also the properties are not getting listed in object browser. Because of this, we are not able to create new scripts for .Net properties. I have enabled the option 'Show hidden members' in TC options list and also installed ".NET Application Support" and ".NET Classes Support" plug-ins under File|Install Extensions. Please let me know how to handle this issue1.5KViews0likes3CommentsTest complete 9.2 while retrieving data from the control grid having large number of data records in it.
TC version:: 9.2 DotNet FrameWork version: 4.5 I am using the following code to get object from object browser: Set hmiTag1 = hmiTagViewGrid.WaitWinFormsObject("Grid-Control",-1) If the grid control contains 10 data records, it is taking around 1 minute to execute the script. If the grid control contains 50 data records, it is taking around 50 minutes to execute the script But if the grid control contains around 400 data records, test complete is not responding even after waiting for 20 hours!! Even when i try to expand the object tree from object brower manually for 400 data records, its taking lot of time. This issue was not observed with TC version 7.52, the script was executing with out giving timeout value. Could you please let me know, is there any solution for this issue? Hello, Thanks for this information. I had already done all the settings required for closing unexpected or overlapping windows like Press close, ESC key etc. I have created an event handler for the Unexpected window event also in my code. But somehow for the windows that i want to be handled as unexpected, it doesnt get handled Is there any setting in test complete where i can mention the list of accepted or unexpected windows? Because these unexpected windows are actually thrown by the application that i am testing. These are sort of some crash windows. At the moment i have written functions to handle these windows. I call them at places i know there will be a definite crash. But sometimes it comes at other places also and it is very difficult to check for crash after every statement. Please let me know how to proceed Thanks & Regards Sini1.6KViews0likes0CommentsUnexpected or overlapping window event
Hello, I would like to know how to use the OnUnExpectedWindow event. I followed the steps mentioned in the help file, but this event doesnt get triggered when i execute my tests. Is there any place where we have to mention what are the unexpected windows? I want to handle a crash window that appears while my tests are executed. I also tried the event OnOverlappingWindow. Also sometimes these crashes occur while the recording is going on. Does this affect these events as the crash window is already recognized by test complete? In that case where i can remove the windows that test complete recognizes? Please let me know how to proceed. Thanks & Regards Sini21KViews0likes5Comments
