Agree. Angular and React libraries were created without any consideration of easily created and reliable automated UI testing. .FindChild() is a way to go in this case. But .FindChildByXPath() is still the last resort when nothing else works.
TC 12.60 introduced improved support for Angular/React-based web pages through the Cuatom Attributes functionality (https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/app-testing/web/general/object-identification/using-...) that may be used for NameMapping as well.
