is android hybrid apps using ionic supported using TestComplete Appium ? ( locally)

quick question for someone who has a similar situation.

is hybrid apps that uses a webview such as ionic supported under the Appium method?

we've been working with the legacy approach and it was working fine but since you can only support up to android 10 -11 we need to switch to the Appium approach.

i saw a few posts about it but the latest one is a couple of years old and i just needed a confirmation
