how to modify name mapping for hierarchy level changes of name mapping.

Hi All,

I'm facing an issue when executing my test scripts in two different environments.

Name mapping hierarchy is different from one environment to another. due to that, I need to change the whole project name mapping. Does anyone have an idea of how I can do it easily?

Added Screens for more clarity.

Thanks,

It looks like your two environments are pretty different.  I would consider setting the tests up in two separate projects so that the name mappings can be separate.

Thanks for replying Marsha_R ! do you have any idea where we can modify existing name mapping to the new one?

Create your new project in TestComplete

Go out to the directory where your original project is, create a copy of the name mapping file (it ends with .tcNM) and move it to the directory of the new project.

Go back to TestComplete and add the copied name mapping file to your new project.

Hi,

You may also try NameMapping Configurations (https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/testing-with/object-identification/name-mapping/conf...) and check if it works for you.
