Unable to find flash objects

Before I asked the developers to go set all the wmode to window, i used firebug and chrome's inspect element tool to try and edit the html. The changes were visible after being made however testcomplete is still unable to recognize these objects using the object spy. They are swf files and the objects I need to find are navigation buttons, etc. Anybody knows what I'm doing wrong here?
