TestComplete 12.4 64 bit

Has any one upgraded from the TestComplete 12 32 bit to 64 bit ?

What are the issues they are facing now ?

Is it safe to upgrade to 64 bit when the automation framework has been developed in TestComplete 32 bit ?

I'm running it now and there are very few problems that I've seen.  There is a known issue with the Indicator.Hide method but you can request a patch from SmartBear for that.  Other major issues have been addressed in the 12.41 update.

There is no worries about code/automation created in 32-bit working in 64-bit so long as you keep bitness in mind when dealing with things like database providers and such.  You may need to adjust some code if you were using the 32-bit drivers in the past but that's an easy correction.

Why automate?  I do automated testing because there's only so much a human being can do and remain healthy.  Sleep is a requirement.  So, while people sleep, automation that I create does what I've described above in order to make sure that nothing gets past the final defense of the testing group.

Starting from version 12.4 TestComplete\s installer installs both 32 and 64 bit versions into <Program Files (x86)>\SmartBear\TestComplete 12\Bin and <Program Files (x86)>\SmartBear\TestComplete 12\x64\Bin respectably. Internal project structure is the same, so you may just try your project with 32- and 64-bit version and check if there are any problems.
