Posting Bug to Jira

i am getting an error message everytime i try to post a bug to jira. this is what i am getting. i have used all the right details. what is causing the [object Error]

The cause of the error you get is that you have not enabled the JIRA Remote API (RPC) service for your JIRA installation. This requirement is mentioned in the Add Bug to JIRA Database Dialog help topic.
