Automatic minidump to include heap?

Hi,

When an application crashes on a system that runs tests with TestComplete, a minidump is created and saved to the log folder. This is very valuable for our developers in their investigations.

But is it possible configure this to save the minidump with heap?

That log is generally meant for Support to use.  You can ask them if there are other options:

@stein_oddvar_ra this is the only kind of dumps TestComplete generates. However, if you need some other dumps, you can get them using other means. For example, here's one for .NET apps.

And, as Marsha mentioned, this could easily be a feature request.

Thank you for your reply, @sonya_m and @Marsha_R We are used to getting dumps for analysis, so we saw an opportunity when we discovered the TestComplete feature creating and archiving dumps from processes, even when they were not started from TestComplete. The information is valuable, and would be even more valuable with the heap. I'll submit a suggestion for the feature to be added to a future version. Again, thanks for the information! - SteinR -
