We are trying to automate a application that requires us to firstly enter our credentials in windows security popup (enter credentials) to connect to the application.
Our client PC is on Windows 10
In our previous executions on windows7 OS, this was not a problem as TestComplete Object spy could detect the objects (username, Password, Remember me Checkbox) inside the windows securrity popup and get/set the values/inputs.
Note the popup form of Windows security popup is changed in Windows 10, and its unlike Windows7
Our TestComplete Object spy cannot go inside the popup, its stops at the perimeter of the popup (see screenshots)
We tried many approaches to get aside this issue, but we are totally blocked on Windows10.
We need to have this feature operational on windows 10 as its on Windows 7,
Our TC version is 12.42
We have both Web and Desktop licenses for tests.
If you know where the popup is going to open you could try to interact with it by sending clicks to the right coordinates on the desktop.
For these type of windows things I recommend using AutoHotKeys.
You also get to pad your resume a little
It seems like you just need the tool to enter credentials. Using TC for this is like calling a bomb strike on a tricycle.
Here are some things to check for testing in Windows 10
Following. Similar issue.
The solution in the attached URL did not work for me. Did you have any luck figuring it out?
