[Reg] combining report.xml from differnt projects
Hello,
We have various projects that we run across each environment. currently we have written a parser that will process each of these to aggregate the results. Would it be possible for soapui to have a feature such that given a set of output folders (folder with output generate by using testrunner -f), soapui generates a comprehensive junit style report by aggregating all the individual reports.
Thanks
Ali

Hi /Ole,
Wanted to revive this requirement
A natural outcome of attempting to use soapUI for manual testers would be to somehow have a reporting solution. Running soapUI via hudson will obviously not work for the manual testing team. Typically a set of engineers will run some combination of testsuite/projects based on who is responsible for what. All of them can generate junit style reports for their testsuite/projects and put them in some file server for viewing by their lead/manager.
However, as a lead/manager, I would really like to see an aggregate report rather than bunch of individual reports for each engineer.
It seems like all the html files in the junit report are constructed from the report.xml file. Would it be possible to create a separate utility or an option in soapui that takes a set of report.xml as an input and generates a master report.xml along with all the html files needed to display the junit style report.
Thanks
Ali

Hi Ali,
hmm.. what if we add an option to merge new results into an existing report.xml? So you would start with one and then add data to it for all your test executions?
regards!

Hi, Please can you advise if there is any progress with this?
I need to combine multiple reports as one and this functionality sounds ideal 🙂

Hello,
Unfortunately this feature is still not implemented. I have opened an internal feature request of SOAP-2721 for this. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
