Need help importing WSDL into my project

I just upgraded to soapUI 3.0.1 and am still receiving the same error as I did prior to the upgrade.  Here is my dilemma:  I have a fairly complicated wsdl that was created using Rational Application Developer in Websphere v7.  When I try to import into my project, I get an error that says "com.eviware.soapUI.support.soapUIException: Error importing wsdl."  I cannot begin to test my methods and am on a very tight deadline.  When I try to evaluate the error in the error log, the best message I get is a schema is not being found...that the "system cannot find the file specified".  I am unclear as to why I am receiving this error.  We have upgraded to Java 1.6 recently for compatibility with websphere v7 and the error appears to be java related.  I was able in the past, to import wsdl's into SoapUI without much effort but they were created using WSDc.  This is all fairly new to me so any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.
