Why is Windows Store support preference reset with every update? Or on by default at all?

I have mentioned it to support over the years and I have never really been given a satisfactory answer as to why it is on or why it has to be reset with every update.

 

I mainly posted here to see if others had an opinion on this issue. Or if others make use of the Windows Store support.

    I also see this, but am wondering if these steps would help. I believe the store (also an app) needs to update and contains a lot of bugs. So when MS release monthly patches and feature updates the store is impacted. Can you let me know if the steps in this link work?

      I am not sure the previous reply references the question in any way .  It definitely does not point to a solution or explain why the preference is on by default, or why updating toggles user preferences.
