What I am looking for is visible. I would like to click on that "Accounts" textnode. I've put an arrow to it in the second image. This is what it looks like when it is accessible:
This is what it looks like when it is there, but inaccessible. However, TestComplete still says that it Exists, and is Enabled and Visible in this state.
When running the test from this second state, the test runner will say "waiting until the overlapped window becomes visible" once or twice, and then fail with - "object transparent or out of bounds" error.

Are you not able to interact with the "Unsaved changes" dialog? If you use WaitNNN methods, see https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/app-objects/common-tasks/waiting-process-or-window-activation.html#WaitMethods that should resolve your issue.
