What are the effective ways we can store objects to name mapping?

  • I personally use the "green plus sign" in the option to spy on objects.

This is a very convenient way to add new values to NameMapping and Aliases. If you are at the beginning of your adventure with TestComplete and (with NameMapping) definitely read about the correct way to store objects in NameMapping.

Adding everything to this .xml file is a trap 😉

    ....

Not sure what this question is getting at.

You can have them auto created as part of recording a test.

You can map them from the Object Browser with a right-click context menu

You can map them from the screen using the mapping tool.

Is there anything specific you're looking for?
