Using Double Byte Characters in NameMapping
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has used, or if it is possible to use double byte characters in the NameMapping file? I found this thread http://smartbear.com/forums/forum/post/?mode=singleThread&thread=f5f6a95e-0af2-4735-a152-3b320b0bedb9, as well as another thread referenced inside of it, that briefly describe a little about what we would like to do. What I am wondering about is whether or not we can use double byte characters in the mapped name of properties like WndCaption?
One of the dialogs we have in our AUT uses the same dialog for different messages. The only thing that is unique is the wndcaption, depending on the context. If we test in a language such as Japanese, I notice that if I paste the Japanese characters into the mapped name for wndcaption, only "?????" appear. Does that mean that TC just cannot display the characters? Or does it mean that it does not understand the characters.
The examples provided for the name mapping configuration do not address double byte.
Thanks for any help.
Mark
