UICollectionView support in iOS

Hi Support

Some of our DEVs has begun using UICollectionViews in our app and I an not able to view this control and its objects and properties in TestComplete 10.4.

I was wondering if and when this control will be supported for iOS?

Thanks in advance.

  • Hi Nathan,

Judging by the "Supported iOS Controls" article, the control isn't officially supported by TestComplete. I've created a corresponding feature request in our DB. In the meantime, you can try using the suggestions listed in the Recognizing Custom Controls section of the article.

    Thanks Tanya,

I took a look at the Object mapping to add a custom control, but none of the supported iOS Controls is of type UICollect.... so it is not allowing me to add a custom control. When I try to add it from the screen it does not recognize the type.

Anyone out in the field successfully created a custom UICollectionView ?

    TIA

  • Hi Nathan,

Perhaps mapping under UITableView will help.

Anyway, I would recommend that you contact our Support team - they can try to find a solution for you based on a sample app with this control.

    Thanks Tanya,

I have opened a support case to see if they know of a way to get around this limitation.
