TypeInfo.dat

What is the purpose of the TypeInfo.dat file?

Which parameters are stored in it and where are they used?

  • Hi wanni!

    This file essentially contains the actions that are performed against the specific objects that are mapped in the namemapping repository.

    We would recommend to not alter this file manually or allow it to be ignored when being committed to a repo. While most of the backend files for TC are human readable, altering these manually in any way should not be done.

    If you would like more information about the files TC creates and their purpose, we have a document covering this;

      There is no information about the TypeInfo.dat file in the documentation.

      It is recommended to add a related introduction to this document.

      What are the side effects if the file is deleted?

    Why delete the TypeInfo.dat file without affecting the use of NameMapping?
    After deletion, the TypeInfo.dat file will be regenerated, and NameMapping is deleted/added, but the TypeInfo.dat file has not changed?
