No, this has never worked for me.

I am working on implementing the TouchPress and TouchRelease methods for the first time in TestComplete with Appium. The methods are throwing the exception:
"Unable to perform the specified touch action on the device."

Thank you, I did read your whole post, but it's important for troubleshooting to know if this is something that worked before and changed or if it did not work for you ever.

I see that you are using Appium, so are you using the cloud-compatible mobile testing as described here?  https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/app-testing/mobile/index.html

I ask this because TouchPress and TouchRelease are meant to work with the legacy mobile testing and not the cloud-compatible version.

    Thank you for your response.

    I have two follow-up questions:

    1. Alternative to TouchPress and TouchRelease: Is there an alternative method or approach compatible with the cloud-compatible setup (using Appium) that can achieve the same functionality as TouchPress and TouchRelease?
    2. Asynchronous TouchAndHold: While TouchAndHold works in my current setup, it is synchronous and does not meet my requirement for dynamic GUI checks while the button is being held. Is there any way to trigger TouchAndHold asynchronously or achieve similar functionality in an asynchronous manner?
