TestComplete Upgrade

Hi,



I need to upgrade to the new version of TestComplete and my question is: Will I loose my scripts I already wrote or will they get integrated as part of the new version?.

    Hi Azeddin,


     


    When migrating to TestComplete 10, the project will be converted. But, all your scripts will appear in the new version.


    You need to pay attention to the fact that you won't be able to open the converted project in the previous TestComplete version. So, if you need this, you will need to backup your work project.

    Do I need to Deactivate previous version's license (ver. 9) if I'm upgrading to the new version (e.g. 10) ?.

    Hi,


     


    TestComplete 9 and TestComplete 10 licenses can be activated on one computer. However, having both licenses activated is available only during the period when moving your test projects. Once the projects are moved, and you make sure that they successfully work, you need to deactivate the old license.


     


    In TestComplete 10.4, we have stopped supporting several features. Please make sure that you don't use them before moving to this product version. Refer to the Discontinued Support section of the "Features Added to TestComplete 10.40" article.
