"TestComplete has encountered a problem"

Please check the image attached. When I'm launching testcomplete I'm getting this problem. Even I did retart but still it is coming afeter some time. This exception is  coming continuosly so I'm not able to close this dialog.

    If, in that dialog, you specify your contact information and send the data dump off to the SmartBear folks, they will respond with an answer as to what happened.



    In the meantime, are you running the latest version of TestComplete?  It should be some build of TestComplete 8.60.  If not, have you tried upgrading?  There have been a few patches and bug fixes in recent versions that may solve your problem if you are not on the latest version.

    The folder "\Users\AppData\" is a windows system hidden/protected directory. You should be able to see it when you change the Folder Options - View tab.



    The setting is under "Hidden files and folders" part of the advanced settings called "Show hidden files, folders, and drives" this setting may be disabled or hidden depending on the group or system rights that your Windows System Administrator has setup. But by default the right is viewable.



    Either you can view it that way or type in the full path up to the file name and you should be able to navigate to that specific data dump directory.

    Hi,



    When I'm trying to send the dump information through Testcomplete I'm getting error message 'unable to send' send it manually to automadedqa.



    The dump file information is below. Please check this and let me know any issues. I'm using Microsoft Visual studio source Control for check in/out files. But when I'm working with the script I'm unbinding from source control at the end of all changes I'm adding project to source control and doing check in.

    Hello Vijay,



    Please send us the files mentioned in my previous post so we can analyze them. As for the problem with sending crash dumps, please contact your system administrator to handle the issue. Also, the path to the crash dump is provided in the dialog, so you can just send this file via our Support Form.

    Hi,

    I know this is an old thread but I'm seeing the same error when I run tests on Windows 2008 SP2 server. What was the cause and resolution of this issue?

    I got the same error while executing a script. While trying to send the error report to smart bear error message displayed "Unable to send error report". The path displayed for the dmp file in the pop up is "C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\SmartBear\TestComplete\10.0\Logs\cf-20141007105246.dmp". But after navigating to "C:\Users\User" I am unable to find folder "AppData". So please suggest how can I send the error report manually.
