Hi All,
In TestComplete 10.50, you can run and report on your Selenium WebDriver tests from within TestComplete.
Support for Selenium tests is implemented through the following unit testing frameworks: JUnit, TestNG, PyUnit, Ruby, PHPUnit and NUnit. You add Selenium tests created with these frameworks to your TestComplete and run them as part of your test project.
Selenium Webdriver automates Web Browsers for programmers.TestComplete is a test automation platform that supports test automation functionality and testing framework creation for, typically, a different user-base including testing novices, test engineers, and test management professionals. These teams are part of the same organization but they do not necessarily collaborate on testing.
With this integration of TestComplete with Selenium WebDriver, we are trying to bridge the gap between various teams within the organization that participate in testing activities.
Also, it is important to note that Selenium WebDriver is about to become a standard for Web testing, with W3C Standardization, so TestComplete has to embrace it.
TestComplete 10.5 has not been announced to the public yet but is available for you to download as part of early access. We really would like for you, our users, to try this new functionality and let us know if it is indeed useful to you. We will work with you to answer all your questions and will use your feedback to build the next phase of Selenium Webdriver integration.
