TestComplete 7 configuration files...

I need to start checking into Source Safe the configuration files for TestComplete projects so that recovery in the event of corrupt files is less tedious than rebuilding project information.  The files that I intend to back up are *.pjs, *.pjs.tcLS, *.tcCfgExtender, *.mds, *.mds.tcLS, *.tcScript., *.svb  Are these the "basic" files that would be needed to recover Project information, script lists and units in the event of a failure?

Is there any documentation of what these files contain or any list of addition files that may be beneficial to be backed up?

Thanks

William

  • Hi,

You can find the complete list of project file types in the "Project and Project Suite Files" help topic. You need to back up MDS, PJS and all project items' files which you use (tcScript, script units, etc.) in your project. tcLS files are not very important.
