We failed to reproduce the recording problem on our side. So, it looks like the problem is specific to your environment. Please try the following:
1. Reinstall IE and check whether the problem persists. If it does, follow step 2.
2. Try disabling all IE plug-ins and check whether the problem persits. If it does, follow step 3.
3. Uninstall TestComplete.
4. Remove the folder in which the tool was installed.
5. Reboot the machine.
6. Install the tool once again.
7. Check whether the problem can be reproduced and let me know your results.
