Hi all,
To help us investigate the issue, we need more detailed information from each of you. Please submit your requests via our Contact Support form. In your messages, provide the following information:
1. Can you reproduce the issue with Notepad or the 'Run' command box as Sean? How often does the problem occur in this case? We would appreciate it a lot if you sent us simple steps to reproduce the problem.
2. Please send us detailed information on your system. To collect the information, run the msinfo32 utility (Start | Run...), save the information it provides to an *.NFO file (File | Save...) and send it to us via our Contact Support form.
3. To help us collect more information about the issue, please follow the steps below:
1) download the Debugging Tools for Windows package from:
http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/devtools/debugging/installx86.mspx
and install it;
2) when TestComplete hangs, open the "Start | Run..." dialog and execute the following command:
"C:\Program Files\Debugging Tools for Windows\windbg.exe" -pn TestComplete.exe -Q -pd -c ".dump /m C:\Dump1.dmp;q"
This command will make WinDbg write a memory dump of the TestComplete.exe process to the "C:\Dump1.dmp" dump file. After the dump is written, WinDbg will be closed.
3) correct the dump file name in the above command line (for example, change it to Dump2.dmp), and execute the command again;
4) for every execution delay to enter a symbol, repeat step 3 three or five times;
5) send us all of the generated dump files.
We are waiting for your feedback. Thanks in advance.
