Hi Jack,
First of all, please check whether this behavior can be reproduced with TestComplete 7.52 (the latest version of TestComplete) and wait for half an hour just to be one hundred per cent sure that the application is hanging.
If the update does not help, please let me know the name, vendor and version of the ASP.NET control. If the problem can be reproduced with a public web page (for example, a sample web page, demonstrating how the control works), please provide us with a link to the web page.
