Suggestions/How to implement "Fire & Forget" tests

Two obvious ideas:

-- Add more resources (memory) to the test machines. All at all you are not doing stress testing, do you?

-- Check your tested application using some resources profiler (e.g. AQtime by SmartBear - http://smartbear.com/products/qa-tools/application-performance-profiling/) to ensure that it does not intensively leak resources.
