Thanks for the clarification. This happens, because when you are referring to a test's variable, the Keyword Test editor stores information about this variable without the test name. So, if you copy/paste the operation, it automatically "takes" the variable from another test. I think, this behavior was implemented, because in the vast majority of cases, a test works with its own variables, not variables of other tests.
