Running the scripts in TestExecute and publish the Results

Question

Here are some configurations that we need .

We have TestExecute installed on 3 VMs which will only be used for running the project suites , not my local machine which TestComplete and is being used for development of scripts. What is the best way to have those TestExecute Virtual machines to access the scripts and run it . Once execution completed we need to have the results published on the confluence so that our functional users can check the status of applications. We also need some kind of automation in this process… TestExecute machines will pick up the Project Suites and run on a regular basis and publish the results to Confluence.

What I do is pretty simple. &nbsp;Our automation projects, etc, are in Team Foundation Server source control. &nbsp;So, we are using task scheduler and the commandline to, before our automation runs, pull down the latest version of the automation projects. &nbsp;We then, also, using task scheduler execute a batch file that calls TestExecute with command line parameters to execute the projects.

I'm not familiar with Confluence enough to tell you how to publish the results. &nbsp;Keep in mind that the test logs from TestComplete/TestExecute projects are specific to those tools. &nbsp;You could do something as simple as export the test log at the end of the test run and upload it to Confluence. &nbsp;

For running your testsuite in VMs, the best option using CI tools like Jenkins, MSBuild and etc,

I guess, TestComplete doesn't have any in-build function that can upload your file/folders into confluence. But confluence has it's API you can try(I'm not familiar with this)

I don't have any samples as I have not used Confluence myself.&nbsp;&nbsp;shankar_r&nbsp;posted some links from Atlassian that you might be able to reference for information.&nbsp; Basically, in whatever code you're using to export the test log, you will need to call some sort of API or method to do the upload.&nbsp; It will happen as code within TestComplete, not as something called from Confluence.
