registry checks

hello and thaks in advice



i'm new to test complete.



i need some advice about the best way to read, test and  save or fire some error based on values found inside the registry itself.



Any advice is appreciated.

    Hi Fabio,


     


    There is no special operation to read data in the registry. However, you can use the Code Expression mode in the If... Then operation and specify the script line to obtain the value of the needed registry there. Read the "Specifying Operation Parameters" article for details.

    we tested some scripts derived from the link in your post, all are working.



    Is there any component directly available in teststudio ide that test a registry value?

     i mean [if.. then .. else.....] operation with a registry key inside the test.
