Hello, would anyone be familiar with recording on Microsoft Edge when launched using the 'RunAs' mode from TestedApps?
I'm successfully able to launch Edge as a different user while recording but TestComplete isn't recognising the browser window when I try to record the next test steps.
Does anyone have any tips?
Champion Level 3If you are launching the browser using a different user/profile, then most likely you will need to install SmartBear Test Extension. Without this extension installed, TC will not be able to identify the individual UI controls.
Hi, already have the SmartBeat Test Extension and still no luck. Doesn't recognise the window or record any test steps.
Champion Level 3When you use "RunAs" what parameters are you using/have you specified?
I've specified the domain, userID and password. It successfully launches in edge with those credentials
Champion Level 3Have you tried to run your TestComplete in Administrator mode? So that it has higher permissions than the credentials you have used to launch Edge.
