What version of TestComplete are you on? Has this ever worked for you?
Make sure that TestComplete and your application under test are the only things that are running on the test computer. If not, close all the other programs and try it again.
Let us know if you still need help after trying these!

Using version 15.45.31.7.
It has always worked in the past, I don't have anything else running besides outlook and the application.

It sounds like this just started happening to you after a TestComplete upgrade? If so, you should report it to Support directly. Here's the link:
