Outputting text to the console window which executes TestExecute?

Thanks for your answer, but the post you've linked discusses testing a console application, which is not what I'm trying to do.



What I want to do is report progress / status of a running test to the "outside" of the TestExecute process. I've tried to summarize my wanted work flow in the attached image, I hope it helps clarify my question.
