No updates message when clicking check for updates although TC 9 was realsed

Why do i get No updates message when clicking check for updates although TC 9 was realsed?

    The "Check for updates" feature checks only minor product updates. It has been done on purpose. Some customers continue using earlier versions of the product and do not need to update the product at all. If a notification about a new product version appeared every time a major update is released, earlier TestComplete versions would show these notifications all the time, which is quite irritating.



    To let our clients know about a new major product update, our Sales&Management team sends update notifications via e-mail to the existing customers. Plus, information about a new product update appears on our web site.
