Network suit setup problems

Greetings,

Well I've had some troubles setting up distributed testing.

Currently I get a Verification failed error. I've tried to follow the Verification failed troubleshooting, without being able to solve the problem.

Master PC - Testcomplete 8 - Windows 7

Host01 - Testexecute 8 - Windows 7

They are run on a Domain server setup, using Active Directory for user/group policy.

I can remote access with RDC to the Host01, using the user/pass that is used in Testcomplete, however there it fails.

Thanks in Advance.

Mike

  • Hi Nabil,

I think that this is a different case. Have you specified the domain, user name and password for the corresponding host in your master test project?

If the credentials specified correctly, it is possible that you have a group policy set to always show the login dialog. This situation is described in the Message - Verification failed. help topic:

Make sure that the Always prompt client for password upon connection group policy option on the remote computer is disabled.

To disable this option, perform the following actions:

    • Log on to the remote computer.

    • Open the Group Policy Editor.

    • In the left pane of the editor, select Computer Configuration | Administrative Templates | Windows Components | Terminal Services | Encryption and Security.

    • In the right pane of the editor, right-click Prompt client for password upon connection, select the Disabled option in the invoked dialog and click OK

  • Hi,

The Encyption and security option doesn't exist in my case. Perhaps a new role or feature must be installed to enable it. This is server 2k8 by the way.
