Name Mapping appearance

I was working on testing desktop application ,I record some tests and at that time Name mapping folder was not created and there was no role of name mapping .But when I create same project again and start recording test ,now it shows name mapping option , but why ? Why it was not visible earlier ? and why now .Did i miss anything ? Is it related to license ? as I am using license now .
