Moving license manager from one PC to another
Hello everyone, community!
My name is Igor Damiani, and I'm working for my customer that has some floating-user licenses of Test Complete and Test Execute. I've installed the License Manager many months ago on one PC. Today I need to use another PC inside the LAN as License Manager.
Procedure that I've followed:
- I've uninstalled Test Complete and License Manager from the old PC (at the beginning of this procedure I've deactivated all the licenses binded to this computer)
- I've installed Test Complete and License Manager on the new PC
And here the problems begin. I can't activate the licenses on the new License Manager (I try the manual activation, using the url https://clientservices.automatedqa.com/manual-license-activation/), because I can't use the same license key already used on the old PC. This is correct, I suppose. Somewhere in support website, I read that when one or more licenses are deactivated, I must receive new license key. But I don't receive anything! How would I get the new license key? Via mail, perhaps? Maybe my boss receive some information about deactivation of the old licenses? So...my boss automatically receive the new license key via mail?
Can you help me to unlock my situation?
