Inconsistent Recording and Running of tests for JavaFx 8 Desktop Application

Hello,

I am testing a JavaFx 8 application and I am unable to get consistent results in recording a keyword test and running the test if I successfully record one. Has anyone experienced this?

 

I have tried to record a keyword test by mouse movements and also just key strokes. It seems very random when it actually records. This is also the same with playback. If I recompile my application with no changes the running of the tests also fails. The application being tested seems to start fine but once it does TestComplete fails to find any of the objects and it just sits there.

 

The application GUI is very simple a few tabs, and within the tabs a table view, some buttons, menu bar, text boxes. Not really complicated

 

 

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    Check your name mapping and see if there is an identification property that changes each time you launch the app. If so you can put wildcards in it.
