If you install TestComplete 8 to the TestComplete 7.52 machine, both versions should work fine. Also, it shouldn't be a problem to migrate from TestComplete 7 to TestComplete 8. When opening a TC 7 project suite, TestComplete 8 will offer you to convert it to the 8th version.
