So our web software use to run in IE but now it will only run in Edge but using IE mode, I installed TC and doing a recording test, where i am just seeing if i can login to our site, now I can get it to open the broswer and to go to the sites login page but it wont seem to do anything else. the message i get in the errors is Unable to find the object Sys.Browser("iexplore").
any ideas ????
You need to have About SmartBear Test Extension, installed.
If you don't have Internet Explorer installed, like I do, then you'll get this error
I use e.g. Browsers.Item(btEdge).Run("http://smartbear.com/");
If I understand correctly, you need to use Edge and enable "Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode (IE mode)"

That is all set up as I have been testing in Edge since last Nov
that was already setup , im sure it is something simple i have not done.
What version of TC have you installed? Are there any other instances of the web browser running? If yes, I suggest you close them.
I only installed it 2 days ago so whatever the latest version is and nothing else is open
In TC, Help -> About will show you the version. Edge can run as a background process, even when you open and close the application, which you'll be able to see in Task Manager.
If you search this forum for "Unable to find the object Sys.Browser", majority of the answers relate to existing browser processes.
