I'm trying to use Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle

I'm not incredibly familiar with using Oracle in TestComplete but the error message you received is similar for other database types. Essentially, there are certain client applications and drivers for Oracle that are necessary for connecting a machine to an Oracle database. TestComplete does not have these built in but use whatever is already installed in the operating system. So, if I'm reading this correctly, before you can use the Oracle database as a DB Table variable in TestComplete, you need to make sure you at least have Oracle client drivers and so forth installed on your workstation.

I've installed Oracle Database 11g Release 2 Client from:

but it doesn't help. I have the same error message.

don't know if it might help you, but i also connect to an Oracle db and i use the 'Microsoft ODBC for Oracle' driver (it was already pre-installed on my platform, seen under 'Administrative Tools') with the connection string from here --> http://www.connectionstrings.com/microsoft-odbc-for-oracle/
In my case everything works fine and i can store a db execute a query etc.
