Flex objects and Firefox browser

Hi,

I have a strange issue with TC,FF and Flex:

I mapped flex objects with IE and build some test (which run perfect after installing the debug version of Adobe Flash). The tests also run on FF now (after installing the debug version and downloading some patches) but it seems like both the spy and mouse-nameMapping of TC don't recognize the separation between the object.

When I drag the mouse on Flex objects- The whole page is marked in a red rectangle.

How can I prevent it?

Thanks,

Mor

  • Hi Mor,

Did I get it right that TestComplete's Object Spy cannot recognize individual objects on a page but the existing tests are executed fine in Firefox?

Let us know what TestComplete version are you using.

  • Hi Tanya,

Indeed, I am testing a flex app, after mapping all the objects on IE.

The tests run on both IE and FF but the spy identifies the objects only on IE.

    I am using TestComplete 9.31, build 3889.

My IE version is 10.0.9200 and my FF version is 26-1.0

    Thanks,

    Mor.

  • Hi Mor,

Can you make sure that the browser zoom is set to 100% when exploring the object in the Object Browser? As far as I remember, when executing a test, TestComplete should set it to 100% by default. This difference may cause such behavior.

Also, could you please check whether the issue is reproduced on TestComplete 10 - the latest product version?

  • Hi Tanya,

Both the browsers are set to 100% zoom,

    Thanks.
