find function in testcomplete editor focuses on wrong windows

Hi,

 

is anyone else bothered with the bug that the code editor in TestComplete (10.6) focuses on a wrong window when using the "find" command and skipping through the results? When clicking on "find" or "find next" the editor brings another window (and not the code window) to front (whatever app is running besides TestComplete) so I manually have to focus TestComplete with alt-tab. This is on Win7 32-Bit.

 

This problem has been there for a while and it makes me have a lot of patients (which I don't have ;-) ) when coding in the editor.

 

Is there a solution for this?

    How serendipitous!  A patch for TestComplete 10.60 was just released which addresses such an issue.

     

    Open a support case and ask for patch CC-3144 (Fix search facility Z-order).  Let us know if it resolves your problem.

    that was quick, I wonder why this has not been fixed before!

     

    However, I had to look up the word "serendipitous" and now that I understand it I totally agree ;-)

      Hi William,

      thanks for your feedback!
      Good to know that there are at least two of us! ;-)
      I really wonder why this is not being fixed since it is something
      frequently used if you are into code. Makes coding (and writing tests)
      harder than it needs to be.
