ExternalInterface.call (s) failing in FLEX code 3.5...

We have a FLEX 3.5 application that has several calls to ExternalInterface.call to open things like other browsers.  This code works fine without the compile switch:



-include-libraries "C:/Program Files/Automated QA/TestComplete 8/Open Apps/Flex/FlexClient35.swc"



When it is in we get:

 

Error: [object Error]

 at flash.external::ExternalInterface$/_toAS()

 at flash.external::ExternalInterface$/call()



as a result of the ExternalInteface.call.  Has anyone figure out how to get around this?  We have to test with the windows popping up at least 150 iterations to demonstrate a memory leak.
