Error Accessing the Excel File

I cant add a Table variable providing an excel spread sheet, I get the attached error



Attached is the zip file which contains one keyword test & the excel sheet in the stores section and also attached is the screenshot for the error



Edit Workbook works fine



Version: 8.7 Enterprise Edition with all extensions enabled.

    Hi Pravin,


    I failed to reproduce the behavior you described on Windows XP with TestComplete 8.70 Enterprise and Microsoft Office 2007 installed. So, please clarify a few moments:


    1. What operating system do you have?


    2. Which version of Microsoft Office (or Excel) is installed on your machine?


    3. Make sure that the ACE driver is installed on your machine. If it's not installed, you can download it from Microsoft's web site:

    Hello Irina,



    I am using

    Window 7 64 Bit Enterprise

    Office 2010 32 bit edition

    TC 8.7 Enterprise



    The issue only happens sometimes not sure how best to make it replicate again and again

    Hi Pravin,


    It's really difficult to investigate the problem that is reproduced from time to time. So, we might need more time to solve it.


    SmartBear Software has recently released a new major version of TestComplete (ver. 9). Please, download and install a trial version of TestComplete 9 and try reproducing the described behavior using this version. Does the problem remain?
