The comparison is posted to the log if you use a File Checkpoint

Thanks for your reply.
I looked into the filecheckpoint, and i see that there are some bottlenecks that prevent me from using it.
Both the files that i want to compare are generated runtime and I do not see an option of adding a file to the filecheckpoint on runtime. I am not sure if that option is available in test complete. ( Please correct me if i am wrong)
Thanks to you i have started looking at an alternative, https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/testing-with/checkpoints/files/comparing-with-variable-parts.html
I am not sure, if there are other ways of doing it other than the ones specified in the test complete documentation. (yet again, please correct me if I am wrong)
Thanks in advance!

Just save the file to a known name after it's generated and then you can use the file checkpoint.

You can use the file comparison routine to compare two files generated at runtime. See
Both file parameters can be full file path and file name, doesn't need to be a stored static file.

But it could be if you wanted to. ;)
