Can TestComplete work with Subversion on a server?

I have TestComplete 9.0 installed on my local computer.

The company I work at has subversion setup on a server on the network.

I was hoping to have TestComplete work with subversion so I could version all my project suites.

However, from what I have seen in the help files it looks like subversion has to be on the same computer TestComplete is on.

Is there a way to get TestComplete to work with subversion that is on a different server?

    Hi Chris,

Yes, TestComplete can work with Subversion repositories on remote computers.

However, the TestComplete computer needs to have the Subversion client application (specifically, CollabNet Subversion 32-bit) installed.
  • I installed Collabnet subversion client 32 bit for windows, but it still doesn't work.

I cannot integrate testcomplete with subversion, nor can I see anything for subversion in the SCC selection dialog.

    Am I missing something?
  • Yes, I did read that.

As I mentioned above I am trying to work with a subversion which is on a server.

I installed the collabnet client as well.

I followed the instructions in that help file to modify the install and select the subversion integration extension.

But when I click next, it says I don't have subversion.
  • Do I have to have subversion installed on the computer TestComplete is on even though I only want to access the subversion on the company's server?

Yes - TestComplete uses Subversion client modules to access their API.

Please open a support case with us, and provide the following information in your submission:

    1. What version of CollabNet Subversion client did you install on the TestComplete PC?

    2. Did you install the Subversion client before installing TestComplete? If you did not, please uninstall TestComplete, and install it anew. Let us know if this helped.

    3. What OS version do you have on the TestComplete PC?

    Thanks!
